Manchester United star Paul Pogba may reportedly miss the club’s Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar after picking up a knock.
The sensational Frenchman is a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s system but it seems he’s struggling with injuries this season.
United’s midfield is already weak with Pogba in it let alone without him so it is a major concern for the legendary Norwegian.
Solskjaer could potentially manage without him for the AZ Alkmaar match but the struggles have mainly come in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are running out of time to climb up the table and their season runs the risk of turning into a major calamity.
According to ESPN, Pogba will be assessed before Thursday’s squad is revealed though he may be saved for Sunday’s clash against Newcastle after he complained of pain in his ankle after the draw against Arsenal.
Even if the former Juventus man is deemed fit to play, it makes little sense to risk him in the Europa League.
No Manchester United fan will be truly bothered if the club fails to challenge for that piece of silverware and the priority, at least for the time being, has to be the Premier League.
