Manchester United travel to the Netherlands for a meeting with AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday night in desperate need of an away win.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have now gone seven away games without a victory – the last one being that famous 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
Man United will have to break their curse on the road without several key players: Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are all out.
Here is how we think Solskjaer will line up for the meeting with AZ.
This is not the team that I want, but rather the one which will play.
Marcus Rashford, for one thing, needs a reset, to go away and come back fresher and with a clearer mind, or failing that, needs to not play up front – a position which seems to be suffocating him at the moment.
Daniel James, moreover, could probably do with being rested ahead of the game against Newcastle, with Angel Gomes stepping in instead. Unfortunately, the youngster, along with Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong, will probably have to settle for places on the bench.
One positive, in my view, is the fact that we will get to see Marcos Rojo sacrifice helping the team in favour of trying to score screamers for 90 whole minutes.
