Tiemoue Bakayoko could be set for a return to AS Monaco this season after the Ligue 1 side open talks with Chelsea.

It certainly looks as though it is.
Despite the early excitement following his big money move from Monaco, the Frenchman failed to recreate the form he showed so brilliantly for the Ligue 1 side at Stamford Bridge.
And at the San Siro for that matter, though his time on loan with AC Milan is the closest he has come to firing on all cylinders once again.
Antonio Conte tried to get the best out of Bakayoko following the move, but both Maurizio Sarri and now Frank Lampard appear to have been uninspired by the midfielder, despite him having two fresh starts to make a claim for a starting spot.
A move back to Monaco now appears likely, and Chelsea will be hoping to include a permanent future fee in the deal, in a move which would certainly suit all involved.
