Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku may yet get his dream move to Inter Milan despite the transfer being riddled with complications.
The Serie A giants have made their interest known but they’re aware Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will need quite a bit of convincing.
It was understood United are not looking to actively sell Lukaku and so they will only consider a bid that allows them to recruit the money they spent on him in the first place.
Inter’s financial issues meant a transfer for Lukaku seemed almost impossible though news quickly surfaced they planned to sell their stars to raise some funds.
Whether that is enough to see the move happen or not remains to be seen but what is clear is there’s still some way to go despite some progress being made.
According to The Sun, Sky Sports Italia report that Romelu’s agent will negotiate with Inter soon after an opening bid of £62m that involved a two year loan spell and then a permanent deal was rejected by the Red Devils.
The powerful striker’s goals will be missed at Old Trafford but if the rest of his teammates can pick up the slack then the transfer would be considered to be good business.
