Chelsea youngster Jamal Musiala has joined Bayern Munich, with the move surprisingly confirmed by ex-Blue Ryan Bertrand.
Sixteen-year-old Musiala has moved to the Bundesliga champions, becoming the latest youngster to trade England for Germany.
The midfielder has signed a five-year deal with Bayern, with big things expected of him in the coming years.
While Musiala’s move is now common knowledge, it was former Chelsea left-back Bertrand who confirmed it.
The 2012 Champions League winner took to Instagram, posting a photograph of Musiala and adding the words: “Fearless..congrats @jmusiala10.”
Chelsea Youth’s official Twitter account got wind of the post, saying, “wouldn’t have expected Ryan Bertrand to effectively confirm Musiala’s move to Bayern Munich, but here we are.”
