Manchester United are reportedly preparing an emergency plan should Paul Pogba leave the club despite their refusal to consider any offers below £130m.
The Frenchman is one of the best midfielders in the world and so is said to be chased by Barcelona, Juventus and most notably Real Madrid.
However, even for the aforementioned clubs, the price-tag on his head is simply too big for any of them to afford which is what United were hoping.
It’s believed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Pogba as the central part of his plans to revolutionise the club and so watching him leave would be disastrous.
Should he force through a move somehow though, the club have already drawn out a list of potential transfer targets, just to be safe.
According to the Evening Standard, despite the Red Devils’ insistence that Paul won’t be sold, they’re preparing for any small chance of departure by targeting Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen as potential candidates to replace him.
The Dane would arguably come cheaper due to the fact he has one year left to his contract and appears to be open to a move.
Tielemans could be the smarter investment given his young age and potential but he won’t be a bargain buy by any means.
