Tottenham star Danny Rose has seemingly been rather indifferent towards a potential departure amid Manchester United’s interest in him.
The Englishman is ahead of Luke Shaw in the pecking order for his nation so it may make sense to approach him for club level too.
The 28 year old doesn’t suit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer strategy of signing young, emerging stars but perhaps it’s one area of the pitch he feels experience is needed.
Shaw certainly needs competition for his spot and Rose would be a good signing if the price was right.
Whether Tottenham will sell him or not remains to be seen but United may be better off searching for alternatives.
According to the Sun, Danny said: “If I am [at Spurs next season], great. If not, great.
“It’s no secret I’ve been linked with a move in the media. And it’s the club’s policy to move players on when they reach a certain age.”
Rose’s attacking talents may also be a compliment towards Luke’s defensive abilities with fans looking for more going forwards.
While the Red Devils’ centre-back position has been spoken about the most, the full-back positions are arguably more important.
If reports are true then Solskjaer has been struggling to find a good bargain on the market.
Dany would represent good value if he pushes through for a move, putting Manchester United in the driving seat in the race for his signature and aiding their summer.
