Reports suggest that Arsenal’s Sead Kolasinac is a transfer target for La Liga giants FC Barcelona this summer (via The Express).
It’s clear that Arsenal’s finances aren’t in the best place right now after failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for a third successive season.
The Gunners have a reported £45 million to spend in the window this summer which isn’t much considering the number of signings required.
A central midfielder, a wide forward, and at least one centre-back are all needed this window so Arsenal may have to sell before they buy.
With that in mind, the Arsenal hierarchy may be keen to hear of reported interest from FC Barcelona in full-back Sead Kolasinac.
The Bosnian international has spent just two seasons in North London, scoring five and creating 13 goals in his time at the club.
A reported £20 million has been cited for Kolasinac who is said to be on a shortlist of left-backs for the Spanish champions.
It’s an interesting story but would be a huge surprise to see it happen. Sead Kolasinac has had some good moments in an Arsenal shirt but they have been too far apart. The Bosnian can be a liability defensively and Arsenal will need to improve if they are to challenge higher up the league.
