A photo of Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been circulating around social media of late with Manchester United fans delighting over it.
The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but nothing official has happened as of yet.
Supporters have grown increasingly frustrated as there appears to be mixed reports on whether the youngster is moving just yet or not.
Wan-Bissaka is said to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s priority target of the summer and for good reason given the lack of quality in the right-back position.
The defender would certainly strengthen the position and should he develop as expected, it would be his for at least the next decade.
Aaron was believed to be a boyhood United fan and this photo seems to confirm that was the case, meaning reports saying he was pushing for the move could have some truth.
The Red Devils options for the right-back spot last season were Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian and Diogo Dalot.
The Ecuadorian has left on a free transfer while the Italian is expected to depart this summer having been searching for a ticket out for quite some time.
Dalot and Young’s versatility has helped them gain match-time during the last campaign but there are serious question marks over the latter’s ability.
The Englishman has declined shockingly fast with fans believing he should also be moved on this transfer window.
Diogo is touted for a bright future but some, perhaps including Solskjaer, feel he’s not quite ready for regular first-team football.
This means there’s a spot open for a right-back and given Manchester United’s defensive woes last season, it makes sense to make an approach for one.
Should Wan-Bissaka arrive, it’s likely fans will warm up to him quickly, particularly since such images surfaced, making his love for the club seem genuine.
