Manchester United star Paul Pogba could still return to Juventus according to reports despite the club not having the finances to sign him.
The Frenchman’s asking price is said to be around £130m which is understood to be far out of the Italian side’s budget.
The Serie A giant just signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer for a hefty fee so their comparatively small budget this time around is understandable.
Pogba would certainly improve Juventus and potentially give them the push they need to challenge for that elusive Champions League title.
United have rebuffed Real Madrid and Barcelona so far but they may struggle to hold onto the midfielder given his former club’s plans.
According to the Daily Mail, Juventus will sell Joao Cancelo, Douglas Costa, Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic and Mattia Perin for around £100m in order to fund a move for Paul.
Just how they would have any money left to sign other players in what will be a crucial summer for the Italian side remains to be seen.
Pogba is said to be central to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans to revolutionise Manchester United and so losing him would be a blow he can’t afford, particularly after Ander Herrera‘s departure.
