Rennes midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud is a man in demand this summer, with Chelsea reportedly joining Premier League rivals Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign the 25-year-old.
The player scored six goals and provided a further five assists in the French top flight last season, which has caused his parent club to place an £18 million price tag on the midfielder.
La Liga side Sevilla have already had an £11m bid for the player turned down this summer, with Rennes deeming the offer not acceptable.
The creative midfielder is also on the radar of Juventus, Napoli and Roma, according to the Express, and with Chelsea yet to resolve their managerial situation, the player has plenty of time to decide on a move.
Chelsea will look to add depth to their squad this summer if they have a two-window transfer ban frozen this summer.
And with Eden Hazard leaving for Real Madrid, a new source of creativity is needed, so Bourigeaud could well be the man to fill that gap.
