Alvaro Morata is uninterested in a return to Stamford Bridge, according to Goal.
The Spanish striker is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid after suffering a miserable stint with the Blues.
Morata has scored 24 times in 72 appearances for the Blues and failed to impress the fans and head coach Maurizio Sarri with patchy form and injuries.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, he stated he has no intentions of returning to Chelsea and is happy in Madrid.
I’ll do everything in my power to stay.
The former Real Madrid striker has scored six times in 15 La Liga appearances since rejoining his boyhood club on an 18-month loan.
Chelsea seem to have a real goal-scoring problem, with Morata’s replacement Gonzalo Higuain failing to provide the firepower Sarri has been seeking to aid the creative skills of Chelsea’s midfield.
It seems likely that Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi will be recalled to the first-team squad after successful loan spells at Aston Villa and Crystal Palace respectively.
Although Chelsea are facing a two-window transfer ban, Atletico are seeking to continue Morata’s loan spell with a €16 million extension to 2020.
And it appears as if the striker is also eager to finish his career in the Spanish capital.
