Manchester United are set to lose their star Ander Herrera as he’s reportedly on PSG bound this summer.
The French champions have been chasing the Spaniard for a few months now since it first appeared as though he’d not renew his current deal.
United delayed handing the midfielder a new deal until the Ligue 1 giant’s interest became real and so they risked losing him for free.
Fans were disappointed in the club’s hierarchy but were still hopeful the situation was salvageable though that now seems unlikely.
Herrera proved his worth under Jose Mourinho’s management but he has also played fantastically for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as well.
According to AS, Ander has signed a four year deal with PSG, earning €8m per season which will see him join once his current deal with the Red Devils expires this summer.
The figure mentioned doesn’t seem as though it’s out of Manchester United’s league so it’s a little weird they’re willing to lose such a key player for free.
It was believed the reason Herrera was pushing for a transfer to France was because he was going to get paid what he felt he was worth.
United were also said to be unwilling to pay him the salary he wanted but now they could end up spending more on a replacement.
