Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already set a target for the club for the next season though it’s unlikely to make fans happy.
The Norwegian has had a tough time since being handed the reigns on a more permanent basis with some supporters even beginning to turn on him.
Solskjaer has a monstrous job to do with this summer arguably gearing up to be United’s most important one since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
Fans desperately want to stop the rot but it could prove to be too difficult for the former Molde man to do immediately.
Ole has understandably called for patience, insisting on bringing his former side back to the top of English football gradually.
Ole: "It will take some time to close in on the top, we finished five or six points behind third, fourth, fifth and that has to be our aim. The top two teams have set a standard higher than before and we have to take up the next challenge.” #mufc [BBC]

It’s certainly a realistic aim from the club legend but some fans will feel that a club such as Manchester United should be challenging for titles.
After all, these are the same set of supporters who were unhappy at Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and David Moyes for previously ‘lowering’ the standards.
The season has ended at the perfect time given how fans were starting to seriously run out of patience and now the players have an opportunity to have a hard look at themselves over their performances.
