Manchester United fans were more relieved than furious with their side following the 2-0 loss to Cardiff City.
Most supporters were just happy that the disappointment has come to an end with the defeat the last fixture of the season.
Now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have the biggest summer of his career ahead of him with a huge rebuilding job to do.
United fans’ expectations are so low at this point that the defeat was hardly a surprise and they are now simply looking forward to next season.
Just who will still be turning out in the famous red shirt from August onwards is anyone’s guess given the poor performances from many players.
Rebuild this, rebuild that, I don’t care. Don’t give me excuses. No team coached under ANY manager — let alone the supposed biggest club in England should lose consecutive games against already relegated teams. That’s hugely embarrassing and humiliating.

Failure to beat relegated Huddersfield and now losing to relegated Cardiff City is rock bottom for #MUFC. Absolute madness not to wait until the end of the season to appoint Solskjaer.

You think United are at their lowest, and they go even lower. No matter who plays, who manages the club, you can never have hope and it’s soul-destroying.

Thank god it’s over.

– The players don’t care
– The board don’t care
– Ed Woodward will never changeNothing will change at this club until we address the structure of the club, the people that run the club and if we continue to hand out £100k+ to players who are Championship level.

Feels like a lowest ebb for #MUFC; culmination of 6 years’ incompetence in all depts post-SAF. Ultimate embarrassment for Solskjær to lose at home vs relegated side he also relegated. Most Reds realised Ole’s start flattered us, but the capitulation has been unforeseeably drastic

Solskjaer has already threatened his stars if they return from their time off unfit he will leave to pre-season without them, showing that he clearly believes fitness is one of the main issues with the squad.
In fairness to the Norwegian, the Red Devils’ were full of energy at the start of his reign which saw him grab win after win after win.
Once the players ran out, the points started to as well with an average, tired squad failing to put in any kind of decent performance together.
