Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent a strong message to his stars after it was confirmed the club could no longer mathematically qualify for next season’s edition of the Champions League.
The Norwegian watched on helplessly after his stars limped to a draw with already relegated Huddersfield which all but confirmed their fate.
United will now need to attempt a rebuild whilst only being able to offer Europa League football.
It’s a familiar feeling for most fans with the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era hardly offering up many memorable moments.
Solskjaer’s task has just been made more difficult but there’s hope he will be the man to finally turn things around.

Though there’s no doubting Ole’s ruthless side, it’s likely he’ll see the last of some players due to their likelihood of departing for their own reasons.
It’s been reported several of the Manchester United stars wish to leave to secure Champions League football elsewhere and potentially trophies.
David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku have all been listed as the players considering their futures and it’s no surprise that in the prime of their careers they wish to win titles.
Nonetheless, it’ll be interesting to see what Solskjaer does in what is clearly a crucial summer for the club.
