Everton appear to have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.
The Blues were linked with a move to sign the Belgium international from the Ligue 1 giants last month, but according to fresh claims from France, the Toffees have entered the running to secure his signature.
Telefoot, as cited in a report from GFFN, states that Everton are interested in luring the 27-year-old away from Paris as speculation surrounding his future at the club continues.
Meunier, who is valued at €30 million, has been used sparingly by PSG boss Thomas Tuchel throughout the season and has made just 20 appearances in the team’s Ligue 1-winning campaign.
Everton could be keen to add to their right-back options this summer, with Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny currently the players at Marco Silva’s disposal.
Chelsea may yet be eager to pursue Meunier, however, despite their wealth of candidates for the position, especially following Reece James’s return from his loan at Wigan Athletic.
Cesar Azpilicueta has played at right-back under Maurizio Sarri this season with Davide Zappacosta acting as his back-up, while Victor Moses is out on loan at Fenerbahce.
However, this does not appear to have deterred their pursuit of Meunier, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United.
