Maurizio Sarri is close to saying ‘yes’ to the AC Milan job, according to Sport Mediaset.
Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis is set to fly to London to discuss the move with the Italian, in what is another twist in his future.
Sarri has previously said that he wouldn’t be making a decision on his next move until after Chelsea’s Europa League final clash with Arsenal on May 29th.
Milan are believed to be prepared to offer the 60-year-old a three-year deal worth €3million a season after tax.
Roma have also been strongly linked with Sarri, but the Rossoneri now appear to be strong favourites to sign him.
The former Napoli boss has experienced an up-and-down first season at Chelsea, never managing to win the supporters over.
That’s despite finishing third in the Premier League and reaching two cup finals, one of which is still yet to be played.
Sarri’s relationship with owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be strained, and his future looks set to lie away from Stamford Bridge, regardless of what happens against Arsenal.
