Real Madrid have completed the signing of Chelsea-linked striker Luka Jovic from Frankfurt, according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old has had a superb breakthrough season for the German side, scoring 27 goals from 40 appearances in all competitions.
He has proven to be a lethal finisher and one of the best strikers in the world at this moment in time.
Madrid have acted quickly to secure the services of Jovic with the fee confirmed to be around £52 million.
This news comes as a blow to Chelsea, who were rumoured to be interested in a move for Jovic.
The Blues are going through a forward crisis at the moment, with Gonzalo Higuain and Olivier Giroud possibly leaving, that could potentially leave them with just returning loanee Tammy Abraham.
Chelsea got a first-hand look at the quality of Jovic in their Europa League semi-final when they faced Frankfurt.
The forward scored a goal in each leg, but his side would go onto lose on penalties as Chelsea advanced to the final where they face Arsenal.
Jovic has had a great campaign in the Europa League, scoring 10 from his 14 appearances.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has also been heavily linked with a move to Madrid, with Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Mo Salah also attracting interest from the Spanish giants.
