Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Andreas Pereira for his performance vs Southampton after his goalscoring display.
The club’s fans were ecstatic after the youngster netted as it felt as though the ball simply refused to go into the net before then.
United had a bright start to the match with Romelu Lukaku, amongst others, guilty of missing a few chances.
When Southampton opened the scoring it felt as though it would be one of those games, particularly as both sides headed into the break.
Thankfully after half-time Pereira equalised for his side with a fantastic curling effort from outside of the box which sparked the 3-2 comeback victory.
Solskjær: “So happy for him [Andreas]. Maybe we’ve found a better position for him than a No.6, he’s more of an 8 or a 10.” #mulive

Andreas is truly a versatile player as he’s capable of playing on either flank, as an attacking midfielder, central midfielder and even occasionally as a defensive midfielder.
However, just as Solskjaer learned, the Brazilian’s best position is clearly as an attacking midfielder.
Pereira initially started the fixture in midfield alongside Paul Pogba in a diamond formation before he was moved further as the Norwegian tinkered with his team to steal the result.
Once the academy product was moved further upfield he showed his true talent and helped his side get on their way to secure an important three points.
