Maurizio Sarri again fielded questions about his future at Chelsea following the team’s 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.
The Blues were able to narrowly secure the victory at Craven Cottage as they built on their midweek triumph over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Chelsea took the lead through Gonzalo Higuain but were pegged back when Calum Chambers netted an equaliser for the hosts. Jorginho, though, accurately struck to seal a 2-1 win for Sarri’s side.
The manager spoke to Sky Sports after the game and was quizzed about whether or not his future is safer, in light of two back-to-back Premier League victories.
Sarri would not be drawn on discussing his future, though, and insisted that he has always been ‘relaxed’. As quoted by the Evening Standard, he said:
I feel the same as before, but happier because the results are positive. When everyone talked about my dismissal, I was talking with the club to plan the team for next season, so I was always relaxed.
The former Napoli boss will be keen to make it three wins on the bounce when Chelsea take on Wolves at the weekend.
