Manchester United are reportedly willing to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer transfer window with four major signings.
The Norwegian is currently the caretaker manager after taking over from Jose Mourinho but many believe his permanent appointment is inevitable.
The former Molde man has completely turned United’s season around and exceeded expectations to a great effect.
Solskjaer still has plenty of work to do but the majority of fans believe he’s done enough to be handed the job beyond the summer.
If he is to be given the job then there’s no doubt that investment will be needed and the board appear to be willing to comply.
According to Manchester Evening News, the board place an emphasis on youthful recruitments with Ole looking into a full-back, centre-back, forward and midfielder for the summer.
The former striker publicly claimed he has passed on advice to the Manchester United board about potential targets even before being linked with the job permanently.
If they did take his advice on board then they clearly value his opinion which is a good sign.
Some would argue a right-winger should be on the aforementioned list and reports from elsewhere have claimed Jadon Sancho is a top target.
