Manchester United’s vice-executive chairman Ed Woodward has responded in bizarre fashion over questions regarding the club’s potential new permanent manager.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been made the overwhelming favourite due to his remarkable performance as caretaker manager with some reports claiming he’s set to be handed the job during this international break.
Back to back losses against Arsenal and Wolves has seen a small group of fans question whether the Norwegian is the right man to lead United forward.
Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino was said to be the club’s main target before Solskjaer’s outstanding leadership so there is a chance the Argentine is still being considered.
Woodward’s reputation is certainly on the line with his next appointment given his failures having brought in David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

According to the above Tweet, Ed just laughed when asked if he had a permanent manager ready during the recent clash at the Molineux.
He previously publicly stated Manchester United would not provide updates throughout their process and instead will only have news to announce when a manager is hired.
There’s no doubt Ole has done everything he could do to win the position but perhaps the two recent results have left the board feeling as though they could hold off a little longer.
