Tottenham Hotspur have moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Norwich City defender Max Aarons, according to a report from The Mirror.
The promising right-back has cemented his place in Daniel Farke’s starting line-up at Carrow Road and is a crucial player for the German, who has led his side to the very top of the Championship table.
Aarons is held in high esteem by Norwich, but his performances have not gone unnoticed, with reports indicating that Premier League clubs have taken note.

The Mirror claims that Tottenham have firmed up their interest in signing the youngster, with their London counterparts Chelsea and Arsenal trailing behind them in the race for the player’s signature.
The Blues were reportedly interested in signing the Norwich academy graduate last year, but Aarons put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.
Nevertheless, ahead of the summer transfer window, it seems the Canaries could face an uphill battle to keep hold of their defender, with Chelsea still among the clubs who are keen on potential moves.
