Manchester United star Ander Herrera has reportedly made a demand from Jose Mourinho and if it’s not met, he will depart the club.
The Spaniard has struggled for minutes so far this season but has been involved in the last two fixtures against Manchester City and Juventus.
The midfielder was introduced onto the pitch against the Italian giant and impressed so much he featured in the derby from the start.
Unfortunately Herrera couldn’t maintain the same performance against City and was arguably their worst player in the 3-1 loss.
Nonetheless the former Atletico Bilbao man has run out of patience and is seeking reassurances from his manager.
According to The Express, The Sun report that Ander’s future at the club depends on whether Jose is willing to give into his demand for more match time with his contract set to expire next summer.
The tenacious footballer has enjoyed his best spell under the Portuguese boss during the 16/17 season where he won the player of the year award.
Herrera featured as more of a holding midfielder paired alongside Paul Pogba and was tasked with releasing his partner’s outstanding talent.
However, Nemanja Matic’s arrival meant less minutes on the pitch and the introduction of Fred this season has made the situation look even more bleak.
