Diogo Dalot has confirmed that he has returned to fitness ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The 19-year-old, who was Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer transfer window, impressed supporters with composed performances against Young Boys and Derby County.
But those two appearances are his only to date after Dalot sustained an injury whilst on international duty in October.
To the joy of supporters desperate to see him play, Dalot has confirmed on social media that he is ready to return to action.

News of the youngster’s return to fitness comes at an important time, with a number of key players suffering knocks in recent weeks.
Luke Shaw is suspended for Palace, while Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford are all doubts for Saturday’s meeting with Roy Hodgson’s side.
A place straight back in the starting XI is unlikely after over a month away from action – especially since Mourinho notably did not want to play him in the Premier League when he was fit and firing in September – but his return to training with the squad marks an important moment in his progression into the right-back role over the coming months.
