Jose Mourinho faces an injury headache ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace this weekend, according to ESPN‘s Rob Dawson.
Luke Shaw, one of the club’s best performers this season, will definitely miss out after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Manchester City.
Romelu Lukaku, who featured off the bench during the 3-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side, was sent back to Manchester from Belgium over the international break due to an ongoing hamstring problem.
Both Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial likewise withdrew from international duty after picking up knocks. The former is expected to make a return, while Martial’s situation remains unclear.
Victor Lindelof – another defender in superb form – came off during Sweden’s meeting with Turkey at half time due to illness, and should recover in time for Saturday. Marcus Rashford, however, is more of a doubt after sustaining a knock against Croatia at Wembley over the weekend.
And to complete the list, Marouane Fellaini – evidently receiving due punishment from the gods for shaving off his majestic afro – could also miss out after Belgium manager Roberto Martinez decided he was not in the right condition for games against Iceland and Switzerland.
Antonio Valencia is expected to return, with Ashley Young moving to the left to replace Shaw. No word has been given on the return date for new signing Diogo Dalot.
