Napoli are reportedly ready to complete the permanent transfer of Arsenal’s David Ospina in the summer (via Sport Witness).
He’s quickly been forgotten by Gunners fans but goalkeeper David Ospina is still technically an Arsenal player.
The Colombian international is currently on a season-long loan deal at Napoli after joining the Gunners back in 2014.
Bernd Leno has really impressed this season since his summer transfer which has seemingly put an end to Ospina’s time at the club.
That is echoed by reports from Italy which suggest that Ospina’s current club, Napoli are keen on making the loan move permanent when the transfer window opens in the summer.
CalcioNapoli24 reports that a €3.5 million automatic permanent transfer clause will be triggered when Ospina makes 30 appearances.
That figure has been reported as 25 appearances in other publications but the result will be the same. Napoli are seemingly keen on making the transfer of David Ospina a permanent which is probably the best case for all parties. The Colombian never really convinced at the Emirates and a permanent transfer is the best case scenario.
