Manchester United fans have good news to hear for once in what has been a turbulent season for them so far.
Paul Pogba may return earlier than initially anticipated despite having pulled out of the France squad for their international fixtures.
The midfielder is a crucial part of Jose Mourinho’s side and was sorely missing during their recent loss to Manchester City.
Pogba initially picked up his injury during the smash and grab win against Juventus but couldn’t recover in time for the clash against the citizens.
If Mourinho has any hope of saving his job and turning around his side’s season, he will need the Frenchman fully fit and firing in order to do so.
According to the Evening Standard, the Red Devils’ medical department believe the injury isn’t serious and hope he will be fit once the international break is over.
Paul’s athleticism was on show before as he was called into action almost immediately at the start of the season despite going the distance with France in last summer’s World Cup.
He wasn’t particularly match-fit but put in a decent enough performance to help out his team nonetheless.
It’s likely Jose will do the same if given the opportunity to do so and so fans may see Pogba as early as the match against Crystal Palace.
