Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are in the race to sign Marseille winger Florian Thauvin according to claims from the French media, as cited by Calciomercato.
The Blues are understood to be on the lookout for fresh attacking talent ahead of the January transfer window and the France international is the latest to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Speculation has surrounded the former Newcastle star’s future at Marseille in recent times as he continues to establish himself as one of Ligue 1’s most productive wide men.
The 25-year-old was a part of Didier Deschamps’ France squad in the 2018 World Cup following his exploits with Marseille last season.
Chelsea are well stocked with wingers but could look to enhance their options ahead of the second half of the campaign as Maurizio Sarri’s men push for the Premier League title.
Thauvin has netted seven goals and contributed with two assists in Ligue 1 this season.
