Manchester United star Luke Shaw is reportedly set for a new contract that should please him and Jose Mourinho.
The Englishman almost appeared to be on his way out of Old Trafford just a few months ago but things have since turned around for him.
The youngster put in the necessary work during the summer before enjoying a fine pre-season to force his way into Mourinho’s plans.
Shaw’s efforts clearly worked with the Portuguese manager hardly dropping him from the starting XI since.
With the left-back’s contract running out next summer, the club have moved swiftly to tie him down for the near future.
According to the Express, Jose will reward Luke for his fine form with a new contract worth £150k a week to end all speculation of him joining Tottenham.
Due to his age, the former Southampton man could still be the Red Devils’ left-back for the next decade if he wanted to.
Louis van Gaal‘s initial plans was to do so when he brought in the then teenager but unfortunately things didn’t work out immediately.
The Dutchman was since moved on and Mourinho didn’t seem too impressed either but now things have changed in Shaw’s favour once again.
