Man United fans react to Lukaku's performance vs Juventus

Manchester United fans were certainly disappointed with Romelu Lukaku’s performance vs Juventus in the Champions League.

The Belgian started the fixture but couldn’t walk away knowing he performed well enough as he continues to endure his longest run without a goal at the club.

United frustratingly lost to the Italian giant 1-0 at home and were passive in the first half once again.

Their general player improved after the break but it wasn’t enough to inspire a draw let alone a win.

Unfortunately Lukaku’s poor form has come even more so under the microscope due the club’s own struggles this season.

Lost patience with Lukaku now. Yeah, every striker has bad patches and goes on a goal draught, but the least they can do is hold the ball up and bring their teammates into play. Lukaku doesn’t do any of that.

That’s it. Lukaku has to be dropped. There is no way we can continue to accept performances like that. Promote Mason Greenwood, play Alexis there, anything. That cannot be accepted on a weekly basis.

I sympathise with him somewhat because he has no one around him, but he just seems to be slowing everything up.

Romelu’s form has also baffled fans due to his bizarre ability to score with Belgium whenever he’s away on international duty but suddenly loses his shooting boots whenever he returns to Old Trafford.

With no powerful centre-forward in the Red Devils’ squad other than the former Everton man, he doesn’t have any real competitors.

Though Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial can theoretically play there, they haven’t enjoyed success in that position due to Jose Mourinho’s tactics.

Nonetheless, it’ll be difficult for the Portuguese manager to defend Lukaku any longer so he will have to pick up his form as soon as possible.
