FA hand charge to Chelsea coach as Mourinho also discovers his fate

Chelsea’s assistant coach Marco Ianni has been charged by the Football Association following his behaviour against Manchester United this weekend.

Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard reports that Ianni has been faced with a charge but Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has escaped any form of punishment.

The pair clashed in the final stages of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with United on Saturday afternoon.

Following Ross Barkley’s dramatic late equaliser, Ianni ran in front of the Manchester United dugout in celebration before wheeling back past Mourinho, to which the United boss reacted angrily too.

Mourinho ran after Ianni and attempted to chase him down the dugout before being blocked by various members of staff and stewards, who tried to break up the confrontation.
