The Premier League is nearly back after the international break and Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will be hoping his side can pick up where it left off.
The Gunners travel to Newcastle United on Saturday for a rare 3:00 pm Premier League clash ahead of the Europa League group stage opener next Thursday.
Arsenal were without a number of key players for the 3-2 victory over Cardiff City two weeks ago and now, the club has provided an update on the fitness situation.
Not much has changed for Laurent Koscielny, Carl Jenkinson and Ainsley Maitland- Niles. All three are set to return to training in October/November.
Sead Kolasinac has been progressing ahead of schedule and is now expected to return in early October and there is also a boost for Alex Iwobi.
The Nigerian missed the 3-2 victory over Cardiff City but is back in full training and, presumably, in contention to play against Newcastle.
It’s good to hear that Alex Iwobi is back in full training and seemingly fit to play on the weekend. The Nigerian international has had a positive start to the season and will be hoping to continue that on the weekend.
