Man United to consider selling Pogba in order to fund this huge January signing - report

Manchester United may be willing to sell midfielder Paul Pogba in the January transfer window if it allows them to buy Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.

Most recently, Pogba has been strongly linked with a move to FC Barcelona. The La Liga side’s defender Gerard Pique and striker Luis Suarez have both commented on the Frenchmen’s quality. So, too, has vice president Jordi Mestre. These are common tactics by the club when pursuing a player.

However, Italian outlet Calciomercato return to links with a Juventus return for Pogba.

The Turin giants have won the Italian Serie A title on seven consecutive occasions now, and have boosted their side this summer with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

His arrival adds huge amounts of quality on the pitch, but also is a statement of intent from Juventus. Re-signing Pogba from Man United would be another.

And United could let it happen, if it means they can bring in Paulo Dybala. Calciomercato suggests United have strong interest in Argentina forward, and that Juventus’ hopes of bringing back to the Allianz Stadium are thus boosted.

Having arrived in Manchester as a young teenager, Pogba left the club in search of first-team football on a free transfer to Juventus. A few years later, United brought him back from Italy for £89 million. Now three years on, his impact at the club hasn’t been as huge as hoped and he has a frosty relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

Dybala, meanwhile, is a player that Mourinho has reportedly liked in the pst and the Portuguese boss believes he could vastly improve the club’s attacking options for the second half of the season as the Reds look to push for a title challenge and progression in the UEFA Champions League,.

That rumours for the January window are already being discussed given it is September seem quite ridiculous, but the Pogba story will not quieten down for some time yet.
