Pundit Eamonn Holmes has liked Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to a vampire, claiming he’s sucking the life out of the players.
The Portuguese manager has faced serious criticism of late following the club’s shock loss to Brighton on Sunday evening.
United were defeated 3-2 with the scoreline reflecting a better result than they deserved to get.
Individual errors cost them dearly but Holmes believes Mourinho is to blame for draining the players of all self-expression.

According to Belfast Telegraph, Eamonn said: “You look back at them playing at the World Cup, all of them – maybe with the exception of De Gea – all had really good World Cup and were all expressing themselves, but they come back and he sucks the life out of them.
“He’s like a vampire. He’s not the ‘Special One’, he’s the ‘Glum One’.”
There’s a lot of pressure on Jose to turn things around this season with many fans not happy with settling for top four ambitions.
It’s the main reason why supporters are disappointed with the board for not backing the former Chelsea manager in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United made only one major signing in Fred while adding some depth to their squad in Lee Grant and Diogo Dalot.
Mourinho had publicly stated his hope for two more signings to arrive but was left empty handed when the transfer window shut.
The United boss is favourite with bookmakers to be the first manager in the Premier League to be sacked as things look grim for him.
