Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was in full praise of Manchester United and France star Paul Pogba for his performance against Belgium.
Didier Deschamps’ men booked their place in the World Cup final thanks to a 1-0 win over the international Red Devils with Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti on the scoresheet.
United were at one point linked with the defender who flirted with a potential move before seemingly recommitting himself to the Spanish side.
Nonetheless, Wenger obviously watched the semi-final clash and was impressed with how Pogba played, praising him for keeping things simple.
The former Juventus man has been in inspired form for his country so far this World Cup and the Red Devils’ fan base will certainly be hoping he can replicate that for his club next season.
Wenger on Paul Pogba: "Sometimes he can lose himself by doing things that aren't useful. Today he kept things simple & was impressive. His long balls are exceptional, few can do that in the world." #mufc [beIN via GFFN] pic.twitter.com/x5BzEOjnY6

Paul, whether he’s a World Cup winner or finalist, won’t be joining up with the rest of the squad for pre-season right away as he’ll get to enjoy a holiday.
Some other of the club’s stars who departed the competition already are relaxing such Nemanja Matic whose Serbia unfortunately couldn’t make it past the group stages.
Jose Mourinho will definitely have been keeping a close eye on his players’ performances on the international stage and he, thankfully, so far has no injuries to be concerned with.
