Sir Alex has battled this latest obstacle with the same tenacity and endurance which hallmarked his career at Old Trafford.
He was a man who, despite his ridiculous workload, always seemed in good health, so the news of him suffering such a serious stroke was a shock to everyone.
What isn’t a shock, however, is that he’s come through it like a warrior and returned back to his very best. That was always the aura of the man and his teams. Jose Mourinho’s men will be no doubt spurred on by his presence in the stands next season.
