Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke an Arsenal club record while preparing for the season during training at London Colney.
Most Arsenal fans have high hopes for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he prepares for his first full season as an Arsenal player.
The Gabonese forward reached 10 Premier League goals in just 13 matches between February and May and will be hoping to continue that into the new season.
Well, Aubameyang returned to pre-season training on Monday morning and it’s clear that he has come back from the summer in good form.
During a routine fitness test, the players engaged in a one-legged triple jump.
In a video uploaded by the club, Aubameyang clearly surprises the cameraman with the scale of his leap which is measured at 7 metres 97 centimetres.
“This is a club record,” an Arsenal coach said off-screen.
It’s an interesting little stat for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He is a fairly tall player with a long stride length so this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. However, it is certainly an impressive feat for a club like Arsenal considering the calibre of players to have come before him.
