Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their reported chase to sign AC Milan star Leonardo Bonucci’s signature as it’s been revealed he’s leaning towards a Premier League move.
The Italian has emerged as one of Jose Mourinho’s target after rumours surfaced he was on the lookout for an experienced, proven centre-back.
Though Milan have insisted they’re not looking to sell any of their stars the matter may not entirely be in their hands following their recent ban.
The Italian side have failed to meet the Financial Fair Play demands and as such have been banned from any European football which could see a host of stars depart the club.
Bonucci initially shocked the world by moving to AC Milan in the first place, departing serial winners Juventus in the process though he may have some regrets now.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Mirror report Leonardo has asked to leave the Serie A giants and is aiming for a move to the Premier League.
The Red Devils can potentially take advantage of his desire to leave as well as the club’s poor financial situation at the moment to force through a move.
Bonucci shouldn’t cost that much and would add much needed leadership to Mourinho’s backline which has proven to be a weakness.
