Maurizio Sarri’s impending arrival at Stamford Bridge could spark the end of three players’ time at Chelsea.
According to the Mirror, Danny Drinkwater, Alvaro Morata and David Luiz could all be axed by the London outfit following Sarri’s arrival.
The former Napoli boss is closing in on his appointment at Chelsea with talks still ongoing between the two clubs.
The report also claims that Willian and Davide Zappacosta could be moved on this summer.
The latter is already thought to be in talks over a move to Inter, while Willian has been a long-term target for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
David Luiz has been linked with a move to Napoli in the opposite direction, while Alvaro Morata is reportedly a target for the likes of Dortmund, Milan and Juventus following a season of struggles at Stamford Bridge.
Drinkwater has failed to establish himself at Chelsea following his £30 million move from Leicester during the January transfer window.
With hopes of a return to the England set-up, Drinkwater will want to be playing regular first-team football in the new season.
