Fred's Man United number has been revealed

Manchester United fans hoping to get their new star signing’s number can now do so after the club revealed what he’ll be wearing on his shirt.

The Brazilian just recently linked up with the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of the United States of America though won’t feature in their next fixture.

It’s too soon for the midfielder to play a part in United’s clash against fierce rivals Liverpool on Saturday and there’s even doubts if he can play against Real Madrid.

Hopefully he can gain enough fitness to help Jose Mourinho’s men kickstart their Premier League season in what is certainly a crucial year for the club.

Anything short of the title will see the Portuguese come in for huge criticism following the frustrations most supporters have with his style of play.

An example of another Red Devils to have worn the number 17 shirt is none other than Luis Nani who enjoyed some success wearing it.

Though he was a frustratingly inconsistent player, it’s fair to say the Portuguese won his share of trophies under Sir Alex Ferguson’s management.

Hopefully Fred can enjoy even more success and make the number synonymous with his name.
