Barcelona appear to have won the race to sign Malcom from Bordeaux, pipping Roma to his signature at the last minute.
John Solano reports that the Brazilian is closing in on a €41 million move, a deal that may see Willian stay at Chelsea beyond the summer transfer window.
Roma looked set to sign the promising young winger, but Barcelona lodged a last-minute bid to hijack a deal.
Reports have suggested that Barcelona see Malcom as an alternative to Willian.
The La Liga champions had been heavily linked with a move for the Chelsea winger and reportedly had as many as three bids rejected.
Chelsea were said to be holding out for £70 million, around £5 million less than what Barcelona were willing to offer for the 29-year-old.
New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri wants Willian to stay at Stamford Bridge this summer and is keen for the Blues to keep their best players.
