West Ham will reportedly deny Marko Arnautovic the opportunity to join Manchester United this summer transfer window.
The Austrian has been linked with a surprise move to Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho said to want a more physical presence up top.
Romelu Lukaku is the only player in United’s attacking options to actually have any physicality about him and it’s why they struggled in his absence.
Arnautovic is said to cost £50m if the interest in genuine which should be enough to turn Mourinho off from the move.
However, it appears the London club were never going to allow it to happen either way and the Portuguese manager will now have to look elsewhere.
According to Who Scored, the London Evening Standard reports the Hammers will block Marko from joining the Red Devils no matter what happens.
Jose must have other targets without a doubt but there is some concern that a rather average player has been linked with the club.
The former Real Madrid man also previously discussed his happiness with his attacking options already so it doesn’t make sense to make an approach for the West Ham man.
Perhaps should one of Manchester United’s stars be moved on then there would be a need to invest in another player.
