Chelsea would like to resolve their managerial situation this week after agreeing a compensation fee with Antonio Conte and his staff.
The Daily Mail claims that a £9.5 million fee has been agreed to terminate the Italian’s contract, as well as the rest of his coaching team.
Maurizio Sarri is expected to be named as Conte’s replacement with Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola as his number two.
The report claims that Zola will cut short his spell covering the World Cup for a South American TV channel as he closes in on the role back at Stamford Bridge.
The two clubs remain in discussions over a fee for Sarri, with the Italian side asking for £3.5 million for his services, despite already hiring Carlo Ancelotti.
The Blues are looking to wrap up an appointment in order to push through their summer transfer business, with the uncertainty surrounding who would be in charge next season delaying any potential arrivals.
