Chelsea keeper and Belgium teammate Thibaut Courtois has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku will play in the FA Cup final this Saturday.
The 25-year-old picked up an ankle injury during the 2-1 win over Arsenal last month and returned to training at Carrington on Tuesday.
Jose Mourinho has remained cautious about his striker’s chances of starting the final, noting last week that he may only be fit for a place on the bench.
But Courtois, speaking in an interview on Wednesday, noted that Lukaku would indeed play in the final.

Whether Courtois, a good friend of Lukaku, has heard this directly from the man himself is unclear but you can only hope he knows something most of us don’t.
Lukaku has only had two training sessions with the first team since picking up an injury and Mourinho could well have to wait until the last moment before deciding on whether to start his star striker.
Then again, you wouldn’t be surprised if the opposite is the case. Lukaku is, by very nature, an indefatigable worker and may have kept himself in peak condition during his time with specialists in Belgium, prompting Mourinho – along with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling – to already decide on starting his “sergeant on the pitch” for the biggest game of the campaign.
