Manchester United fans were pleased with how Alexis Sanchez contributed in the clash with Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
The Chilean was rested in the previous match against Bournemouth and after Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford impressed in his absence there was speculation he could miss the semi-final.
Jose Mourinho though put his faith in Sanchez and it’s fair to say the player repaid his faith in full with an impressive display.
United conceded first and there was quickly a fear that the game may run away from them but it was thanks to the former Arsenal man that they survived the early onslaught.
Alexis is as good as anyone in the Premier League on his day and there’s hope that his ever improving performances can become more consistent as he settles into his new team.

There’s no doubt Mourinho would be delighted that Alexis Sanchez could put in the type of big game performance many Red Devils’ supporters hoped to see.
The Portuguese manager has already admitted fans won’t see the best of the versatile attacker until next season but there are now signs of him returning to his best.
