Manchester United are on course to carry on their tradition of winning titles, according to FA Cup semi-final winner Ander Herrera.
The Spaniard netted in the second-half with a fantastic strike to complete Man United’s comeback from a goal down against Tottenham Hotspur.
Herrera struggled alongside the rest of his teammates in the first 25 minutes, before taking the game by the scruff of the neck and helping United to dominate the tie.
He was delighted to carry United into yet another FA Cup final, having already won the competition once under Louis van Gaal two seasons ago.
“Yeah, [I am] really happy of course,” Herrera told BBC Sport, “for the goal, for the victory.”
“We are in another final, we are getting used to being in the finals which is very good because this club is about titles and getting in finals.”
Herrera hailed Tottenham’s defensive display and determination, but was quick to say the job is not done for the Reds yet.
“You know against Tottenham, it is until the last second,” he continued, “and the centre-backs did a very good job.”
“We are getting used to playing in Wembley. We have won nothing yet, we all have to be calm, prepare for the final properly, try finish second in the league.
“We have won nothing yet, let’s prepare it properly and keep our feet on the floor.”
It was a fantastic display from Jose Mourinho’s men for the latter 65 minutes of the game, having gone a goal behind early and looked defensively shaky.
Herrera was one of those who started looking vulnerable, but quickly improved; disciplined and determined in the second-half, notably after Mourinho had vented at him from the touchline.
