Juventus want to re-sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea this summer but will struggle to afford any potential deal for the striker, according to reports in Italy.
The Serie A leaders have been heavily linked with a swoop for the Spanish international in recent times, with it being claimed that Morata himself would be open to returning to Juve.
Morata, who joined Chelsea only in the summer, has struggled for consistency in the Premier League this season and after a bright start, has been unable to maintain his match fitness.
This has prompted reports linking him with a move away from the club, as Juventus begin to be touted as a potential destination.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side are understood by the Italian media to be keen on adding Morata to the ranks this summer. However, with the ex-Real Madrid star having signed for Chelsea for a fee worth around £60m, there is concern over their financial capability to complete the deal.
Juve already have Gonzalo Higuain, Paulo Dybala and Mario Madzukic as options who can play up front but Morata appears to be a genuine target.
