Spanish international ready to force through summer transfer to Chelsea

Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio has reportedly agreed to sign for Premier League side Chelsea, on one condition.

If Zinedine Zidane remains Real Madrid manager beyond the summer then Asensio will agree to a move to Chelsea.

This is due to his reserved role and lack of game time under the French boss throughout the course of the 2017/18 campaign.

Zidane’s job, however, is under threat, with Barcelona looking set to steal the La Liga title back from Los Blancos.

According to Diario Gol, via The Express, Asensio is eager to prove that he can make it at Real Madrid, which means he could stay if Zidane were to leave.

Chelsea will now be hoping Madrid put faith in their former star player as manager and allow them to take Asensio next season.

Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his squad in the summer and wants to add Asensio to his attacking options.
